The Breath: The Mindful Birth Workshop teaches deep rhythmic belly breathing and how to add layers on to the breath in order to stay calm and relaxed through the increase pressure waves of labor. Through visualizations, birth affirmations and different sounds, we learn to stay with the breath and not let fear and anxiety take over.

Positions & Movement for Pregnancy, Labor & Birth: Mindful Birth uses prenatal yoga postures and movement that have been proven to help get baby into optimal birthing position, make more room for baby to descend during labor; therefore lessening the time of labor, and positions and movement that help to alleviate labor discomfort.

How to Set Your Perfect Birth Scene: When your surroundings are calm, comfortable and you feel safe, your mind and body will be calm and relaxed, which is what we strive for in childbirth. Mindful Birth teaches you to go through each one of your senses and skillfully assemble a bag of calming and soothing tricks you can bring with you for your birthing journey.

Two-hour virtual group workshops are offered monthly, $75 per couple. Private in-person or virtual sessions are available at a rate of $200 in your home or Avalon Wellness Center.
